As part of our ongoing strategic investment in sustainability and long-term cost reduction Insight Energy installed a Solar PV system by SolarEdge Technologies at our headquarters in Ipswich.
This installation strengthens our commitment to environmental stewardship and aims to significantly reduce our energy bills.
Alongside this installation we have future-proofed our operations with the installation of EV charge points, with the growing shift to electric vehicles we are now able to support staff and customers with high speed charging supplied by our Solar System and managed by the Wevo Energy Platform.

samsara telematics
HB Commercial use a dedicated telematics system from market leaders Samsara to provide vital insights and enhanced fleet visibility. With over 60 vehicles operating across the region the need for accurate and reliable real time fleet visibility is key to ensuring our staff across all divisions are safe, compliant and improve the delivery of our services to our customers.
Our admin and management teams have direct vision on vehicle movements which helps in reducing journey times, repeat journeys and ensures efficient routing for both our delivery and service teams. All of this has seen a significant reduction in fuel consumption across the fleet and using the data from this system positively contributes towards our continuous improvement program.
We use fleet benchmarks to monitor fuel consumption and driver safety, live monitoring ensures the safety of our mobile technicians when out late, working alone or in areas with reduced mobile coverage.
The system also reduces our response time on customer callouts as the ability to react using the live location data means we can divert technicians to new locations with fewer phonecalls and updates.

HB Commercial is committed to achieving carbon neutrality and reducing emissions inline with the Governments ambition of reducing emissions by 78% by 2035 and carbon offsetting by 2050.
From parts deliveries to our mobile service vans we are proud to operate an ultra modern fleet of vehicles with 90% of our fleet now Euro 6 compliant and by 2030 we plan to ensure our full fleet is at minimum Euro 6 compliant across cars, vans and HGV’s.
In conjunction with our fleet telematics we are able to reduce journey times, idling events and improve driving habits which actively contribute towards reducing our emissions across the company.
